The standard we are working to

SILVER OAK PROPERTIES is building this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at Level AA. Those guidelines are the international standard for making websites usable by people with disabilities, and Level AA is the level most organisations and regulators use. Version 2.2 contains everything in the earlier versions 2.0 and 2.1, so anything that meets 2.2 at Level AA also meets 2.1 at Level AA.

That is what we are aiming for. It is not a claim that we have got there.

This website has not been audited

No formal accessibility audit of this website has been carried out, by us or by anyone else. We have also not tested it with people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.

What we have done is check particular pages and particular components against particular parts of the guidelines while building them, and fix what we found. That is useful, but it is not an audit and we are not going to call it one. So we are not claiming that this website conforms to the guidelines: we do not know how much of it does and how much of it does not.

What we already know is not right

These are faults we have measured on the live site and have not yet fixed. This is what we know about today. It is not a complete list of everything wrong with the site, because no complete list exists.

• Small links in the bar at the top of every page. The phone number, the email address and the WhatsApp link there are about 16 pixels tall. The guidelines ask for anything you click or tap to be at least 24 pixels by 24 pixels, so these are harder to hit accurately than they should be.
• Small links in the footer. The contact details, the office address under the map, and the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use links at the very bottom are between 16 and 18 pixels tall, for the same reason and with the same effect. The four columns of links above them are large enough.
• The dots under the sliding sections on the home page. On a phone these are 7 pixels across. They have a larger invisible area around them that you can still tap, but on a device with a mouse that area is narrower than 24 pixels, because making it wider would start catching clicks meant for the next dot along.
• Parts of the site that other companies supply. The map panels on the contact page and in the footer come from Google Maps, and the meeting booking window comes from a booking service. We do not control the code inside those, so we cannot promise they meet the standard. If one of them stops you doing something, tell us and we will find another way to give you the same thing.

Beyond that list, most of the site has not been checked at all for colour contrast, for whether every part of it can be reached with a keyboard alone, or for how it reads aloud. Some pages have been. Most have not.

It helps us if you say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or anything similar, telling us which one makes the problem much faster to find.

If a page is unusable for you and you need something from us in the meantime, any of the contact routes on our contact page reaches the same team, and we will handle your enquiry that way instead.

What this statement covers

It covers the public SILVER OAK PROPERTIES website — the pages you can reach from the menu at the top of this page. It does not cover the private system our own staff use to run the site, and it does not cover other companies’ websites that we link to.

Keeping this page honest

This statement was prepared on 14 August 2026 and describes the website as it was on that date. We update it when something in the list above changes.

We have not set a date by which the faults listed here will be fixed. We would be guessing, and a date we invented would be worth less to you than the list itself.
